What happens to the misspent youth, the kids who fall through the cracks and turn to crime, in a city with so many superpowered individuals to stop them from making trouble? In Jupiter City, they probably join the Mechanix, the largest of the superpowered street gangs. To become part of the Mechanix, you have to get an upgrade-- some kind of mechanical addition to make yourself better and badder. The Mechanix have chapters all over the country, and are in fact a threat bigger than most supervillains in certain places like the West Coast. In Jupiter City, though, they're not such a threat; they'll break into a store now and then, but usually they just steal enough to pay rent on their warehouse base. Their leader is Solder, who repairs them all, and his hulking sidekick Big Iron, who usually gives the orders.

That was until Decibel moved in. She quickly climbed the ranks and soon Solder found himself doing what she said-- and doing it a lot more often too. The Mechanix quickly became a much bigger presence in the city, not to mention a much bigger threat. Decibel has big ideas, big dreams, and just plain thinks big! Hugely materialistic, Decibel orders her troops to steal expensive cars, electronics, even things like rare comic books and mineral rights. Deci usually stays home and observes them through their internet-enhanced eye cameras, giving orders when needed, but on occasion she'll come along and demonstrate the incredible power and volume of her built-in amplifier system. Mostly, though, Deci is the kind of person who wants to sit on a pile of money, with ornamental men draped all around her, and laugh gleefully at her own success. Basically like if Wario had a street gang! 

Deci might well have taken the whole city over! The Elites were at a loss for what to do with this dangerous new force. Then the Elites were saved by pure luck; Deci was introduced to an acquaintance of theirs, a harmless 'supervillain' called La Cigüeña, who had the bizarre power to actually make women temporarily pregnant-- or not so temporarily if they wished. There was a bit of conflict of interest for Deci, but soon her materialism won out; she wants more than anything to be envied, and nothing (in her mind) gives her more power and status than being the most pregnant woman in the room! (No one wanted to inform her how MOST women look upon pregnancy, of course.) And with her new boyfriend keeping her happy and relatively sedate, things in the Mechanix went basically back to normal, except for the much more frequent donut runs.
